In Person Beginners Workshop // Zero Waste Adjustable Skirt

In this in person workshop, you'll learn how to sew an all season adjustable skirt using zero waste sewing methods!

Join me on March 15, 2025 at 2pm in Richardson, TX as we sew together and make awesome things happen. (Exact location will be provided to participants post payment).

THIS IS A 4 HOUR CLASS WITH TWO 15 MINUTE BREAKS. This class is great for beginners who are intimidated by commercial patterns and/or want to learn the basics of drafting and tailoring clothing to their size from scratch. 

In the first part of this class we will cover 

• Zero Waste fashion principles 
• How to draft a pattern using zero waste techniques (comparing to conventional designs) 
• How to measure yourself and determine ease in a garment 

In the second part of the class we will cover

• Sewing machine basics 
• Sewing machine practice 
• Cutting and pinning your fabric 
• Sewing your garment together!! 

All supplies except fabric are provided for the class and a take home bag will be given to you with basic sewing tools.

A fabric guide will be sent to you via email closer to the date for suggested fabrics to choose for this project.
