A well put together pattern, and it is quick to make. It would be helpful to state whether seem allowances are included or not in the pattern. I took a guess (that they weren't included) and the turban turned out comically large. I suspect the issue is that seam allowances actually were included. I think attempt 2 will go better :)
Thank you for leaving a detailed review on the Mahogany Turban pattern. After checking the pattern myself, seam allowances are included and mentioned on page 2 as 1/2' seam allowance. You can find this right above the pattern layout.
Additionally I am unsure of what size you made of the turban as well as the pleat or elastic view you used as that was not mentioned in your review. The smaller size might be a better fit for you or I recommend choosing the pleated version for the back which a little more controllable for size. The larger version is for those with dreadlocks or thicker hair, and if your hair is thinner, yes it will be large.

Happy sewing, and I hope you try again.

I made the Elastic Back Option with no liner and start to finish it took about an hour to make. The instructions were easy to follow. As a visual learner, I appreciated the pictures that went with the instructions. The finished Mahogany looks good and is cool for summer. I'm looking forward to my next one that will be the Pleated Back Option and then in winter, I'll make the lined version.
